We all are aware of traditional safety rules that must be followed when traveling with the family. Not to talk to strangers, not to accept any eatable from a stranger, keep track of ones luggage properly and make provision for emergencies and contingencies during travel-These are points that are known to all. However, the tech friendly world that we live in requires certain additional safety features and points that we must consider when traveling.

For starters, make sure that the Bluetooth menu in your cell phone and other electronic devices is not visible to others. The last thing you want is for the stranger sitting beside you to steal all the information in your laptop or cell phone through the Bluetooth connection. Make sure that Bluetooth is switched off or is hidden from all at all times.

If you are carrying your smart phone or laptop along with you, make sure that your internet browsing history is not stored on the computer as long as you are traveling. Further, make sure that details related to your finances and bank accounts are not stored on the computer hard disk. If you forget your laptop or smart phone and happen to lose it, you will automatically lose all your private and confidential financial information as well.

Be careful with your digital camera. You may have a lot of photos and fond memories but it can easily become a major embarrassment if it falls in the hands of a malicious stranger. Last thing you want is your private photos to be uploaded to public forums for all to see. These are minor points but can cause major embarrassment when you are traveling.
