While we hear from time to time that a cruise ship has failed to embark from a certain port at a given date it is not as common as some may believe. This normally occurs when some shady travel agency has gone about hiring a cruise ship but has not been able to sell a sufficient number bookings to honour their agreement with the shipping line.
